Breaking Down the A, B, C’s: Believe

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.  Joh 3:17  For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.

My first post: “In the beginning: The A, B, C’s”, was a quick overview of the steps to salvation and beyond. I want to take a few minutes to break each down in a little more detail.

Believe in Jesus Christ as your one and only Savior from the sins of this world. None other can replace or compare to Him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17  For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
Joh 3:18  He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

2Cor 5:21 Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

There is no question that one must believe that Jesus is Lord, and came to this earth as man to bare the burdens of all of man’s sin upon the crucifixion cross. Believing this as the true fact it is will move one to the second step to the only truth that matters. Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Accept that we are all sinners, Believe that Jesus Christ is the true Lord and Savior, leads us to our confession-not to any person or priest but to Jesus Christ Himself-Our only intercessor to God the Father.
